Studies in creativity and collaboration in teams have pointed out that one can get addicted to the flow experience that comes only from group creativity. Conditions for group creativity are rarely found in large organisations, which tend to focus on structure, script and process and limit the opportunities for improvisation. Some individuals seek the flow by avoiding large corporations and join small, entrepreneurial firms, or work on their own.
